This Privacy Policy describes how The Garber Company ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use comethru (the "Service"), accessible at comethru.events. The Garber Company operates comethru as an event marketing platform on behalf of partner organizations ("Event Organizers").

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you register for an event through comethru:

  • Name — first and last name
  • Email address
  • Mobile phone number (when you opt in to SMS communications)
  • Event registration data — including which events you have registered for or attended, registration date and time, and any responses to event-specific questions
  • Technical and usage data — collected automatically via Google Analytics 4 (GA4), including IP address, browser type, device information, referring URLs, pages visited, and time spent on the Service

We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, financial account information, or precise location data. We do not collect biometric information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Register you for events and confirm your registration
  • Send event-related communications including confirmations, reminders, updates, and post-event follow-ups
  • Send SMS messages to mobile numbers that have opted in (see Section 6)
  • Communicate with Event Organizers about their event registrations and attendees
  • Improve and operate the Service, including analytics and troubleshooting
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support of services we provide (such as customer support, hosting, and analytics) is permitted. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We share information only as follows:

With Event Organizers
We share registration data (name, email, phone number, event-specific responses) with the Event Organizer hosting the event you registered for, so they can manage their event and communicate with attendees.
With service providers
We use third-party services to operate comethru, including Google Analytics 4 for website analytics, Twilio for SMS message delivery, and hosting and infrastructure providers. These providers are contractually limited to using your information only to provide services to us.
For legal reasons
We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of The Garber Company, our users, or others.
In a business transfer
If The Garber Company is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies through Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Service. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect functionality of the Service.

We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising or behavioral retargeting.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations:

Registration and event data
Retained while your Event Organizer maintains an active relationship with comethru, plus three (3) years thereafter for recordkeeping
SMS opt-in records
Retained for at least four (4) years after opt-out, as required for carrier compliance and to demonstrate consent if challenged
Analytics data
Retained according to GA4 default retention settings (14 months)

You may request deletion of your information at any time (see Section 8).

6. SMS Communications

If you provide your mobile phone number and opt in to SMS communications, you may receive text messages from comethru related to events you have registered for or attended, and promotional messages about future events from the same Event Organizer.

Opt-in
SMS messages are sent only to mobile numbers that have explicitly opted in via a checkbox at registration.
Frequency
Message frequency varies based on event activity. Typically 2–8 messages per event.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. comethru does not charge for SMS messages; your mobile carrier's standard rates apply.
Opt-out
Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. You can also reply UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT.
Help
Reply HELP to any message or contact alex@thegarber.company for assistance.
Carriers
We support major US carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and most others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Mobile phone numbers and opt-in consent records are never shared with third parties for their marketing purposes, as described in Section 3.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including:

Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
Correction
Request that we correct inaccurate information
Deletion
Request that we delete your personal information
Opt-out of SMS
Reply STOP to any SMS message at any time
Opt-out of analytics
Disable cookies or use browser-based opt-out tools

Residents of California, Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, Utah, and other states with consumer privacy laws may have additional rights including the right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. As stated above, we do not sell personal information.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with information, please contact alex@thegarber.company.

9. Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

10. International Users

The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be communicated via email or SMS to affected users where appropriate.
